How it works
Annual = hourly × hours per week × paid weeks per year. Monthly = annual ÷ 12. Every two weeks = annual ÷ 26. Twice a month = annual ÷ 24. Weekly = annual ÷ paid weeks. Daily = weekly ÷ days per week. Salary to hourly = annual ÷ (hours per week × paid weeks).
Worked examples
- $20 an hour × 40 hours × 52 weeks = $41,600 a year; ÷ 12 = $3,466.67 a month.
- A $50,000 salary at 40 hours a week for 52 weeks is $50,000 ÷ 2,080 hours = $24.04 an hour.
- $18 an hour, 30 hours a week, 50 paid weeks: $18 × 30 × 50 = $27,000 a year.
